Now, Nike looks forward to bringing us new never-before-seen colourways of the Cortez. This WMNS Nike Cortez “Sail Gorge Green” combines vintage-inspired aesthetics with greeny tones. A great alternative if you missed out on the Nike Cortez “Aloe Vera” a few months ago.

The Nike Cortez may not be the most popular Nike shoe right now, but it still deserves some release. We can recall some collabs with sacai and CLOT where the Nike Cortez got updated. Nike brings the shoe back to normality with this fresh new colour scheme.

Before the iconic waffle sole was a thing, Bill Bowerman got busy designing shoes for Onitsuka Tiger. When Phil Knight and Bill Bowerman officially founded Nike, the Cortez was among the first sneakers on the roster.

Leather makes up the upper of the shoe, while the nylon tongue provides enough ventilation. The sponge foam midsole gives decent cushioning. Underneath, an aggressive full-length herringbone traction pattern provides consistent grip anywhere you go.

The Nike Cortez is still a suitable lifestyle shoe thanks to its simple construction and recognisable Swoosh logos.

This WMNS Nike Cortez “Sail Gorge Green” features a Sail White leather base with Gorge Green Swoosh accents. More Green tones cover the heel tab and lower heel foam midsole.

This colourway will be a women’s exclusive release and will be available in May 2023.
