If you’re wondering why the Nike Dunk surged in popularity, you only need to look at this one colourway. Yeah, sure, collaborations had a large part in the rise of Nike Dunks, but the Panda turned the shoe into a global icon.

People may be surprised to know that the Nike Dunk came out the same year as the Air Jordan 1. As a matter of fact, both pairs share similar design features as Peter Moore created both models. Originally introduced in 1985, the Nike Dunk graced the game of basketball as a primary collegiate hoop shoe.
