The Women’s Nike Air Max 97 QS “Obsidian” goes for Midnight Navy colours with subtle Gorge Green details. Gum rubber on the outsole adds flair to the already impressive colour combination!

We celebrate the Nike Air Max 97’s 25th anniversary in 2022 and we’re already seeing a lot of great releases! Aside from the return of OG classic Air Max shoes, we get new colourways of the coveted Air Max 97. This “Obsidian” Air Max 97 takes inspiration from varsity jackets and their embroidered logos.

The Nike Air Max 97 is one of the most unique sneakers from the 90s. Designed by Christian Tresser, the AM97 combined elements of water ripples and Japanese mountain bikes to form the sharp and wavy construction of the shoe. Reflective materials on the wavy panels illuminate under the right lighting conditions and add more details to the Air Max 97.

First for the brand is the use of full-length Air Max. The air bubble runs from heel to toe and provides maximum cushioning and responsiveness. Below, Bill Bowerman’s signature waffle outsole ensures consistent traction on any surface.

This Women’s Nike Air Max 97 QS “Obsidian” features a Midnight Navy mesh base with an Obsidian leather mudguard. Gorge Green hues cover the Swooshes and pull tabs.

The Sail White foam midsole and Gum rubber outsole give a lot of vintage vibes to the iconic shoe.
