The Air Jordan 1 “Wings” is the Epitome of Italian Craftmanship

Back in 2020, Dior and Jordan Brand dropped one of the most unexpected sneakers of the entire decade: the Dior x Air Jordan 1 High. While trainers made in collaboration with fashion houses were certainly nothing new at this point, this was so much more than just slapping a logo on a calling it a day. Every single detail, from the materials to the shoebox, was reworked from the ground up. And while 95% of us didn’t manage secure them, the upcoming Air Jordan 1 “Wings” collection might just be enough to fill that void.

According to early reports, the “Wings” is a new line of shoes that represents Air Jordan at its more premium. Kicking off with an Air Jordan 1 High and an Air Jordan 1 Low, they’re painted in an off-white colour scheme and are crafted from genuine calfskin leather in Italy. The perforations across the toebox are seamlessly aligned, and the Swooshes across the lateral and medial sidewalls are stitched to perfection. Even the Nike Air midsole boasts a textured finish for a tailored vibe.

Initially speculated to carry a hefty price tag ranging from $1,300 to $1,500, the Air Jordan 1 “Wings” Pack will now apparently retail for $975 and $875, respectively. While an official release date has yet to be confirmed, expect this regal range to drop sometime this summer.
