The Corteiz x Nike Shox R419 “Metallic Silver” Goes Fully Chrome

The Nike Shox R4 already looks like a shoe from an imagined future. But Corteiz has leaned into that character further in its latest R419 collaboration, particularly the “Metallic Silver” pair. Its contoured silver sides, mesh toe, and exposed columns beneath the heel give it the look of a machine in motion. The name is personal, too: R419 adapts the R4 to reference Corteiz founder Clint’s online name.

Silver dominates the upper, but black laces, lining and tongue stop it from becoming one uninterrupted sheet of chrome. The side panels have pronounced horizontal ridges, while the layered material beneath adds texture to the streamlined shape. A red C replaces the usual mark on the tongue, with CRTZ SHOX branding below it and a smaller Corteiz logo at the toe. The branding is easy to spot up close; from a distance, the metallic upper and raised heel make the stronger impression.

Nike introduced the Shox R4 in 2000 with a space-age upper and four visible cushioning columns at the heel. That dramatic shape gives Corteiz plenty to work with. After its Nike Air Max 95 and Air Trainer Huarache collaborations, the London label has chosen another model with a strong identity of its own. The Corteiz x Nike Shox R419 feels connected to those releases through Clint’s taste for assertive footwear, while its polished finish follows the R4’s particular design language.

Corteiz has opened an R419 sign-up page where fans can select a preferred colourway and register for release alerts. The preview shows three colourways of the Corteiz x Nike Shox R419 with Marvel-inspired names: the metallic silver “Silver Surfer,” black and red “Black Widow,” and Game Royal blue “Mystique.” A Holiday 2026 release is expected, but availability through Nike and other retailers remains unconfirmed.
