Back in the 2000s, BAPE borrowed a move or two from the Air Force 1. And while that didn’t go down so well, it looks like Nike‘s now flipping the script with the upcoming Nike Air Force 1 Low “Camo”. Seemingly inspired by the Tokyo streetwear label’s 1ST CAMO line, it’s playful and bold without going overboard.
Working on top of a light olive suede base, this AF1 is overlaid by panels and panels of glossy leather that’s decked out in a military-coded camo pattern. They’re not full-on patent, but there’s enough sheen to turn heads. A bright pink Swoosh slices through the middle, matched by hits on the liner and heel tab.
Underfoot, a pale gum sole and crisp white midsole finish things off. It keeps the design grounded – literally and visually. There’s also some early 2000s attitude in here, with a mix of shiny textures and bold branding that nods to Y2K streetwear without feeling like a throwback costume.
The Nike Air Force 1 Low”“Camo” won’t be for everyone. But if you’re into statement colour pops on a classic shape, this pair holds its own. Let us know if you’ll be adding these to your rotation, and be sure to keep it locked for your best chance to secure your size!
