The Nike Air Max Plus Drift is Inspired by the Past and Made for the Future

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Air Max Plus, and while Nike has introduced some legendary colourways and collaborations to celebrate this massive milestone, it looks like it has another secret up its sleeve as we take our first look at the upcoming Nike Air Max Plus Drift. Set to be the next addition to the Air Max line, make sure you read on to find out everything that we know so far.

At first glance, the Air Max Plus Drift looks exactly like the classic Air Max Plus, but as soon as you take a closer look you’ll automatically realise that there’s so much more than meets the eye. Featuring a breathable mesh base that fades from blue at the back to brown towards the front, this all-new model boasts a moulded overlay that gives the shoe a much chunkier look and feel. The updated design ushers in a more futuristic aesthetic that’s guaranteed to turn heads wherever you go.

With all that said, one of the most striking aspects of the Air Max Plus Drift is its sole unit. Almost identical to the first Tuned Air model, it retains the beloved whale tail-shaped shanks. However, it also debuts some new textures and finishes, as well as a dash of gum rubber, resulting in unrivalled grip and traction with every step.

Not much else is known about the Nike Air Max Plus Drift at this moment in time, but according to our sources, a Summer 2024 release is on the cards. Let us know what you think of this silhouette, and make sure you keep it locked at Captain Creps for all of the latest updates!
