The Nike Air Max Plus “Naples” is Inspired by the City’s Coastline

Naples is considered to be one of the greatest cities in Italy, and to honour it, Nike has taken the wraps off the Nike Air Max Plus “Naples.” Inspired by its sprawling coastline that spans almost ten miles and opens westwards into the Mediterranean, if you want to give your rotation a beach-ready makeover, this is the shoe to get.

The first thing that you’ll notice about the “Naples” is the bright blue mesh upper. Sprinkled with pixelated white and gold squares, this represents the shimmering sea that’s glistening under the fiery sun. A palm tree-inspired cage wraps around the shoe, and across the lateral and medial sidewalls you’ll find a glossy black Swoosh that’s sure to turn heads wherever you go.

Underfoot, the midsole is infused with Tuned Air technology for added comfort and cushioning, and it’s accented with vibrant yellow tones around the heel for an extra pop of contrast. The special edition Air Max Plus is then finished off with a Nike logo on the tongue, which is superimposed on top of the Napolitano flag. Rounding it all off is the phrase “Vedi Napoli e poi muori” that’s inscribed on the heel, translating to “See Naples and then die.” This famous saying highlights the unparalleled beauty of the Italian city, suggesting that once you’ve experienced it, nothing else compares.

Not much else is known about the Nike Air Max Plus “Naples” at this moment in time. But according to our sources, it’ll hit shelves sometime in September. Let us know if you’ll be going for these, and be sure to keep it locked at Captain Creps for your best chance to secure your size!
