The Nike Dunk Low Goes Cyberpunk With the “Hyperflat”

Even though the Dunk Low has been around for the better part of four decades, colourways like the upcoming Nike Dunk Low “Hyperflat” continue to surprise us. Giving the classic sneaker a contemporary makeover, this is exactly what basketball shoes of 3023 will look like.

While the ’80s silhouette is usually crafted from panels and panels of smooth leather, the “Hyperflat” switches them out for glossy synthetic overlays instead. These are decorated with an intricate grid pattern, giving the sneaker some serious Tron vibes.

An iridescent Nike Swoosh glides across the lateral and medial sidewalls, and this changes colour depending on what angle you look at it from, resulting in a glitchy look that works perfectly with this digitally-inspired aesthetic.

This trippy effect extends towards the heel badge, which is embellished with a space age font. Oversized pull tabs adorn each of the tongues, and Phillips head-like rivets make their way throughout for a mechanical edge.

All of this is finished off with a smokey grey rubber outsole that’s as comfortable as it gets.

The Nike Dunk Low “Hyperflat” FV3617-001 is one of most unique Dunks ever made. Set to release on November 11th, make sure you keep it locked at Captain Creps for your best chance to secure your size!
