Kevin Durant’s signature shoes are all inspired by his life and the people who’ve shaped him. One of the central figures in the Phoenix Suns power forward’s life was his Aunt Pearl, or Barbara Davis. Sadly, she passed away from cancer in 2000, so to honour her memory and raise awareness for the battle against cancer, Durant has taken the wraps off of the very appropriately named Nike KD 3 “Aunt Pearl.”

Featuring a pastel pink colour palette, this special colourway nods to Pearl’s warmth and tenderness. It’s accented with darker shades across the inner lining and laces, and contrasted by an oversized Nike Swoosh that glides elegantly through the lateral and medial sidewalls in white.

Moving beyond its visual appeal, the KD 3 is performance machine. The ballistic mesh sidewalls offer not only a distinctive visual element but also durability, while the inclusion of Flywire technology guarantees stability, empowering players to confidently execute agile manoeuvres.
