The Nike Pegasus 2K5 “Black” is a Y2K Icon Reborn

Nike has been around for almost six decades, and within this time, they’ve introduced hundreds (if not thousands) of iconic silhouettes into the world. And now, they’re bringing one of them back with the Nike Pegasus 2K5 “Black.” Originally introduced in the 2000s, this legendary running shoe is now ready to make waves once again. And judging by how popular the chunky dad sneaker trend is these days, this model is going to totally dominate the game this year.

An almost one-to-one remake of the OG, this updated Air Pegasus 2K5 works on top of a “Fire Red” mesh base and is overlaid by panels and panels of premium leather and suede in “Black.” A chevron-like caging system offers additional structure and support, while the padded tongue and collar automatically makes these one of the most comfortable trainers out there.

To the lateral and medial sidewalls, you’ll find a “Fierce Pink” Swoosh, and this neon hue extends towards the front and back of the shoe as well. However, unlike its predecessor, this modern iteration boasts a forefoot Air bubble for unrivalled comfort and cushioning with every step.

The Nike Pegasus 2K5 “Black” is set to release on February 23rd, and will launch alongside a bunch of other coveted colourways. If you want a pair in your collection later this week, make sure you keep it locked at Captain Creps for your best chance to cop!
