Following the success of the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4, another iconic Jordan Brand design is getting a skate-ready upgrade. The Nike SB x Air Jordan 12 Low is easy to spot from the side, where rows of stitching run across the upper and a broad panel wraps the forefoot. On the Low, the shorter collar draws more attention to those details. With two monochrome colourways reportedly on the way, the shape will do much of the work. The question is how much of the original construction Nike SB will keep once it adapts the shoe for skating.
Tinker Hatfield’s Air Jordan 12 debuted in 1996 and became part of basketball history when Michael Jordan wore the black-and-red pair in his 1997 Finals “Flu Game”. Nike SB’s history with Jordan Brand goes back to their 2014 Air Jordan 1 collaboration, which acknowledged the role basketball shoes already played in skate culture. The later Air Jordan 4 SB showed how far that crossover could go. Nike revised its toe shape and used gum rubber in selected areas of the outsole for grip. That gives skaters a concrete point of comparison when the 12’s construction is revealed.
So far, there are two expected colourways of the model. But what makes this even more exciting is the potential collaborations in the future!

2. Nike SB x Air Jordan 12 Low Bright Cactus (JF7751-300) takes the same single-colour approach in vivid green. In the mockup, that green spans the upper and sole, making the entire low-cut silhouette stand out.

The images are speculative mockups, and the materials, cushioning and outsole changes are still unconfirmed. Both colourways are rumoured to drop in Summer 2027.
