Vintage Vibes Feature on the Social Status x Nike Mac Attack “Summit White”

This year, the Mac Attack made an absolutely massive comeback. After almost four decades on ice, the John McEnroe tennis shoe returned earlier this summer in the OG “Light Smoke Grey” colourway. As if that wasn’t enough, the old school silhouette was also blessed with a multi-sneaker collection from Social Status, which includes the upcoming Social Status x Nike Mac Attack “Summit White.” Clean, simple, and seriously minimal, make sure you read on to find out everything that there is to know.

One of the first things that you’ll notice about this particular Nike sneaker is just how pristine the “Summit White” mesh base is. Offering extra ventilation both on and off the tennis court, it’s the perfect trainer to rock all day, everyday. Slightly cracked suede overlays wrap around the toebox for a vintage-inspired vibe, and these extend from the lacing system all the way to the panel around the heel.

A key feature of this iteration is the pre-aged midsole – a signature element in Social Status’ collaborative series. This detail adds an archival aesthetic to the retro model. The Mac Attack is then further accentuated by “Pine Green” accents across the tongues, adding a pop of colour that will no doubt turn heads wherever you go. These tags are stitched with co-branded detailing, just to remind you that this isn’t any old colourway.

To round it all off, the insoles are decorated with the Charlotte-based brand’s locations, along with imagery reminiscent of inner-city currency such as food stamps. The Social Status x Nike Mac Attack “Summit White” also comes with an exclusive shopping bag, and it set to release at Social Status and the SNKRS app on November 17th. If you want a pair in your rotation, keep it locked here.
