Swarovski and Nike have linked up multiple times in the past, but the upcoming Swarovski x Nike Air Max Plus “Pimento” might just be the duo’s most groundbreaking collaboration to date. Combining the legendary silhouette with the Austrian jeweller’s signature crystals, while this doesn’t sound like it should work on paper, in practice it’s a match made in heaven.

Taking on the ’90s model, the “Pimento” boasts a predominantly black leather base and is covered with a palm tree-inspired caging system across the lateral and medial sidewalls. You’ll also find a fiery red Swoosh here, just so you know that this is a classic Tuned Air sneaker.

But while the American sportswear company could’ve just left it there and it probably would’ve sold out anyway, they’ve gone one step further by embellishing the entire Air Max Plus with hundreds and hundreds of crystals, all in different shapes and colours and sizes. Extending from the toebox all the way to the back, there’s nothing else quite like it.
