Air Max festivities continue this late in the year as Nike continues to introduce more Air Max 1 styles. Celebrating the model’s 35th anniversary, the Air Max Day 2022 brought some special flavours to the menu. Joining the exciting roster of AM1 releases in 2022 is this Nike Air Max 1 “Sail Ironstone”. Complete with neutral tones on the upper with hints of Nike Air history.

Dropping in a colour scheme suitable for all seasons, the Air Max 1 takes the spotlight yet again. Fans of the Air Max line have been blessed with a lot of heat in 2022 alone. Previews for the 2023 Air Max 1 releases make things even more exciting! The Air Max line continues to thrive even after 35 years in the market.

In 1987, the Nike Air Max technology changed the way we see sneakers. It was different and like no other, showcasing a transparent “window” on the heel midsole and providing comfortable cushioning.

Mesh makes up the base of the Nike Air Max 1, while the structural overlays come in either leather or suede depending on the colourway. A PU midsole houses a visible Air Max unit on the heel. This allows the bubble to compress and expand during impacts, giving off a bouncy ride.

This Nike Air Max 1 “Sail Ironstone” features a Sail mesh upper base with Ironstone suede overlays. Brown Swooshes make up the forefoot, heel, and sides.

Volt hues appear on the tongue and sockliner. The tongue boasts a unique Air Max description that specifies what it does.
