First Look: Nike Air Max 97 GS “Black Yellow” FD9777-001

We have another Black and Yellow colour combination on an Air Max yet again, and we’re welcoming it with open arms! While not officially a Batman colourway, anything with this ratio of Black to White is automatically nicknamed after the famous DC superhero. Images of the Nike Air Max 97 GS “Black Yellow” have recently surfaces in GS sizing, suggesting a general release will be with us soon. We’re yet to find out if we have Men’s sizes on the way, but we’ll keep you posted when we do!

Rumoured for a Spring 2023 release, let’s check out the rest of the official images below!

Living up to Batman’s The Dark Knight moniker, this shoe features an all-black upper comprised of mesh and leather. Vibrant hues of Yellow make up the Swoosh on the sides, while there’s a smaller Metallic Silver Swoosh on the forefoot.

The tongue boasts a Grey patch with an embroidered Yellow Swoosh.

More Yellow and Silver can be found on the heel pull tab. The Air label comes in Yellow, while the Max branding completes the rear in Silver.

The clear and visible Air bubble showcases Yellow air unit inside.

The all-black rubber outsole comes in the usual waffle sole with a Yellow Nike Swoosh on the midfoot section.

Aside from these official images, Nike has not formally announced release details about the shoe. Either way, we can expect the Nike Air Max 97 GS “Black Yellow” in early 2023. We’re also unsure about the possible sizing as we only have access to the GS size pictured above.
