Nike is switching things up this season with the introduction of SNKRS Link – a fresh way to score limited drops that sidesteps the headache of bots and resellers. This new feature offers fans a more exclusive shot at big releases, including some of the brand’s most hyped collaborations and collections.

The concept is simple but clever. SNKRS Link will appear either as a clickable link or a scannable QR code. Once tapped or scanned, it pulls users straight into a special launch experience within the SNKRS app. If you don’t have the app yet, you’ll first be prompted to download it before getting access. It’s an extra step, but a necessary one to ensure real fans get a fair chance.

Nike first tested the waters with a surprise drop through Eric Koston’s Instagram stories, where a SNKRS Link led directly to the Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 “Navy” launch. The success of that experiment has pushed Nike to roll this system out more widely. There’s already talk that the highly anticipated Travis Scott x Jordan Jumpman Jack “Bright Cactus” could follow the same format when it drops on April 30th.
