Phil Lipschutz and adidas are linking up again for the UnheardOf x adidas Rivalry Lo “Grandma’s Couch 2”. A heartfelt tribute to his grandmother Naomi Phillips, it comes just one month after UnheardOf’s Adistar Cushion 3, which was limited to just 1,500 pairs globally.

Following the beloved 2023 release, this second chapter keeps the sentiment alive with a softer approach. Floral prints, handpicked by Naomi herself, stretch across a canvas of pink and cream tones. Green and fuchsia stripes add a pop of vibrancy, weaving through delicate flowers on the toebox and side panels.

Elsewhere, personal touches run deep. “Dear Naomi” is etched on the forefoot of the Rivalry Lo, while “Love Always and Forever” graces the heel tabs in Naomi’s handwriting. Even the insoles hide a touching detail: a love note from her husband, turning every step into a piece of family history. The custom shoebox leans into the personal story too. Designed to look like an elegant beauty case, it features watercolour artwork and rose gold accents – echoing the gifts Lipschutz used to give his grandmother.
