The Air Max SNDR returns in “Saturn Gold” with its signature zipped-up look and futuristic edge fully intact. Originally launched in 1999, this zip-shrouded silhouette came straight from the Alpha Project archives, and now it’s back with a colourway that grabs attention without shouting. The golden yellow tone across the upper plays off a matte black mudguard, giving the shoe a sleek, athletic feel. Hits of Diffused Blue on the TPU heel plate nod to the original Sunder tooling, adding contrast without breaking the flow.
The zipped shroud remains the defining feature—both functionally and visually. Beneath it sits a mesh inner layer that offers breathability and comfort. Once zipped up, the shoe locks in a more technical look, reminiscent of 2000s ACG energy with a street-ready finish. Subtle Nike branding and reflective detailing balance the bold design with smart details. A hidden “6453” print—spelling N-I-K-E on a phone keypad—appears beneath the zip, staying true to the shoe’s roots in innovation.
Cushioning is split between a visible Max Air unit at the heel and Air in the forefoot, creating a surprisingly smooth ride. Rugged, rubber outsole sections round off the build for traction that holds up well beyond casual wear. It’s part archival reissue, part future icon, and still unlike anything else on shelves.
