Get Up Close With the Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Nitro”

After dropping the “Grandma’s Driveway” and the “Brick by Brick”, Nigel Sylvester is now switching gears with the Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Nitro”. A leaner take on his Air Jordan 1 High from 2022, if you didn’t manage to secure that pair three years ago, you need this in your collection ASAP.

The first thing that you’ll notice about the “Nitro” is the black tumbled leather. It’s textured, tough, and layered with subtle scuffs that look hand-finished – no need to break them in. Where his AJ1 High featured heavy distressing, the Low edition tones it down, letting the materials speak for themselves. The Nike Swoosh comes in a “Sail” shade, offsetting the darker upper, while the outsole arrives in a bold “Varsity Red” that gives the sneaker some punch.

As Sylvester is a pro BMX athlete, you’ll find nods to the sport everywhere. “Bike Air” branding replaces the usual Jumpman on the tongue and insole. Inside the collar, you’ll find “Jordan Biking Co. Est. 2017” stitched in as a homage to his long-standing link with Jordan Brand. A mini Swoosh on the forefoot adds a final twist to an otherwise classic silhouette.
