Game, Set, CLOT: adidas and CLOT Drop a Tennis-Inspired Capsule

Edison Chen and adidas Originals reconnect for another chapter—this time with a full collection that tributes classic court aesthetic just in time for Wimbledon. Built with relaced fits, the CLOT x adidas collection balances streetwear with classic court style through detailed fabrics and layered silhouettes.

At the heart of the drop is a reinvented Stan Smith, now sitting atop a seasonal espadrille-inspired sole. One version keeps things clean with a crisp white upper and textured embroidery, while the black pair opts for a darker, jute-like material finish, adding weight and contrast. Both stick to the original Stan Smith framework but feel reworked through a softer, more luxe lens.

The clothing pieces echo this same feel. Crochet vests, shirts, and lace-trimmed polos introduce premium embroidery, and raw threads into tennis inspired shapes. The visual references—Americana, varsity prep, classic adidas stripes—get filtered through a more laid-back, craft-driven aesthetic.

Tonal colourways of forest green, cream, chocolate brown, and hints of gold and maroon make the whole collection feel grounded and wearable. Accessories like the distressed corduroy cap and patched waxed tote extend the vibe, tying it all together.

Even the basics carry a twist. Ribbed tees and sprinter shorts include hemp blends, laced 3-Stripes, and custom branding, never slipping into generic territory. This is design that stands out from everything else right now, not just at adidas, but across the whole industry.

Every piece in the CLOT x adidas Originals collection feels crafted. From the reworked Stan Smith espadrille to the crochet vests and lace-detailed polos. With limited pairs and premium materials throughout, this isn’t one to sleep on. Expect it to fly.
