Virgil Abloh’s Off-White x AF1 “Sesame” Will Finally Be Getting Released

The Off-White™ x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Sesame” is finally edging closer to release after years of speculation. First unveiled at Miami’s Art Basel in 2022 during Virgil Abloh’s “The Codes c/o Architecture” exhibit, the pair instantly caught attention for its stripped-back design and nods to past exclusive drops.

The sneaker carries Abloh’s signature deconstructed approach, combining a muted sesame-toned leather upper with a shimmering metallic silver Swoosh stitched across the sidewalls. A bright orange tab and Helvetica text on the medial side reinforce the Virgil’s unmistakable touch, while the exposed foam collar keeps the raw, unfinished aesthetic alive.

Down below, the AF1’s classic sole unit arrives stamped with bold “AIR” lettering, a detail staple to most earlier Off-White collaborations. The trademark zip tie also makes an appearance.

Originally rumoured for a Qatar-exclusive launch, the “Sesame” AF1s never saw daylight in 2022. Instead, their story has stretched across years of leaks, teasers, and resale listings before Nike finally confirmed an Autumn 2025 drop. This release joins a highly anticipated Off-White Jordan 1 expected later in 2025. Sneakerheads will have another chance to secure what many already call one of the year’s biggest collaborations in just a few months time.
