The neon colourway runs deep in Nike Air Max history, and once again it finds its way onto one of Tinker Hatfield’s most recognisable creations — the Air Max 90.
Back in 2005, the theme became immortalised through a special collaboration with British artist Dave White and retailer size?, covering multiple Air Max models including the 90, 95, 1, and Stab. Two decades on, Nike taps into that same nostalgia with a fresh rework of the AM90.

This updated version dials in a clean greyscale palette as its foundation. Grey mesh covers the toe and tongue, paired with smooth leather overlays and white-and-grey eyestays. From there, neon accents take centre stage. A striking neon Swoosh lights up the sidewalls, joined by matching hits on the tongue patch, heel tab, and Air Max branding. Underfoot, a dark midsole sets the stage for a glowing neon Air unit, completing the look.

Compared to the Dave White pair, this edition makes small but noticeable tweaks. The choice of grey in place of black across the forefoot changes the balance, giving the neon pops more breathing space. It’s still a faithful nod to the archival theme, but with a different flex.
