Nike’s Vomero line has expanded into three distinct builds: the Vomero Plus, the Vomero 18, and the Vomero Premium. Each carries the same DNA but each serves slightly different running styles. Here’s how they compare across performance, fit, style, and durability and exactly where you should be using each shoe.

Vomero Plus
The Plus leans fully into comfort with a full ZoomX midsole. Stack height comes in at about 45 mm heel / 35 mm forefoot with a 10 mm drop. It feels the softest and most bouncy of the three, making it ideal for daily runs, recovery miles, and long outings when comfort comes first.

Vomero 18
This version layers ZoomX over a ReactX base, creating a firmer and more structured ride. At roughly 46 mm heel / 36 mm forefoot with a 10 mm drop, it’s built for high-volume training and long runs. The 18 delivers consistency and durability, though it feels less lively than the Plus.

Vomero Premium
The Premium pushes cushioning furthest. It uses full ZoomX combined with dual Air Zoom units in the forefoot and heel. With a towering 55 mm heel stack, it provides plush underfoot comfort with added bounce compared to the 18. While still a max-cushion trainer, it has more energy return than the Plus.

Vomero Plus
Runs true to size with an engineered mesh upper. Breathable and supportive, with padded collar and tongue for secure lockdown. Works well for everyday mileage.
Vomero 18
Also true to size, but even more padded around the ankle collar and tongue. The toe box feels relaxed, prioritising long-distance comfort over a snug, race-style fit.
Vomero Premium
True to size but with more structured overlays through the midfoot. This adds a touch of firmness and support, making it the most performance-oriented fit of the three while still comfortable.

Vomero Plus
Lightweight with clean lines and a sculpted midsole. Built for performance, though versatile enough to wear casually.
Vomero 18
More traditional in looks, reflecting its role as a high-stack, high-mileage trainer. Probably the most typical stacked running shoe of the three which many are also using as a lifestyle shoe.
Vomero Premium
The most technical-looking of the three, with layered detailing to highlight its cushioning system. It feels more built-up visually, in line with that premium construction.

Vomero Plus
Durable in key strike zones thanks to outsole rubber, though sections of exposed ZoomX can show wear faster over high mileage.
Vomero 18
The most durable of the three. The ReactX base adds resilience, and thick rubber coverage supports heavy training loads.
Vomero Premium
Similar outsole design to the 18, with Air Zoom units adding midsole resilience. Expected to last longer than the Plus but may sit just below the 18 for long-term toughness.
No matter which version you choose, every Vomero delivers Nike’s signature max-cushion comfort. The difference lies in what you value most: lightweight softness (Plus), long-haul durability (18), or max bounce go with the (Premium).
