The NBA’s all-time leading scorer LeBron James saw a bunch of his early models get their respective retro runs. With 20 flagship models under his name, LBJ is without a doubt one of the best to ever do it. The new Nike Air Zoom Generation “Dark Grey” appears with a greyscale base donning various upper materials. It’s nice to see new colourways of LeBron’s first signature basketball shoe with Nike!
Nike hit the jackpot when they signed LeBron James straight out of high school back in 2003. This 18-year-old NBA rookie went on to become the face of the NBA in the following decade and is now in his 20th season! No better way to honour The King than by bringing back his first signature trainer.
The Nike Air Zoom Generation first came out in 2004 as the debut signature shoe of LeBron James. It was a mid-cut basketball trainer with sturdy materials to contain someone like LeBron James.
The shoe features a leather upper with a sturdy heel counter and a carbon fibre shank plate. Large encapsulated Zoom Air units hide in the forefoot and heel for maximum cushioning and response.
The shoe featured no LBJ logos but the brand and the sneaker community widely proclaim this as his official signature shoe.
This Nike Air Zoom Generation “Dark Grey” features a mix of nubuck and suede in multiple tones of Grey. Lighter grey shades make up the base while Dark Grey adorns the rear.
The midsole also rocks suede textures for a premium finish.
You can cop this pair this March 2023 on Nike UK and in select sneaker retailers.
