Release Rumours: The Nike Air Foamposite One “Galaxy” Returns!

The shoe that sent the sneaker world into a frenzy in 2012 returns for the first time ever. With Nike recently bringing back the iconic Air Foamposite One, a sneakerheads’ wildest dream finally comes true. Reliable sources say that the Nike Air Foamposite One “Galaxy” will be making its comeback in Spring 2024. This colourway is arguably the most popular Foamposite, and it’s “out of this world”!

New wave sneakerheads may not be familiar with the popularity of the Foams back then. So we’re hoping this re-release will reintroduce the hype of the Foamposites into modern day sneaker culture!

We have no official images of the shoe yet, but we can expect leaks to emerge soon. Maybe this will also get a material update like the recent Foamposite releases. In the meantime, let’s take a trip down memory lane and check out the “Galaxy” images from 2012.

Living up to its galactic name, the shoe features outer space vibes on the sturdy Foamposite upper. It flaunts a mix of Purple and Blue to achieve the galaxy look. Shiny dots on the sides resemble stars.

We can see a Silver Swoosh on the forefoot, sitting atop the suede eyestay. For the rumoured 2024 re-release, we can probably expect leather to replace the suede panel.

Penny Hardaway’s 1 Cent logo makes up the mesh heel panel.

The translucent rubber outsole with a Black solid rubber on the inner sections completes the cosmic design.

This release is nothing but exciting! The 2012 release resulted in riots and commotion as fans sought after a pair. We hope the upcoming launch in 2024 would be more peaceful and organised.
