The Iconic Air Jordan 4 “Bred” Is Finally Back in OG Form

The Air Jordan 4 “Bred” is officially making another comeback. Originally called the “Black Cement” in ’89, the “Bred” AJ4 has one of the richest retro histories in the Air Jordan lineup. It first returned in 1999, followed by releases in 2008 and 2012 with Jumpman heel branding. Nike Air made its comeback in 2019, while Jordan Brand switched things up with the leather “Reimagined” version in 2024.

The latest retro brings back the classic black nubuck construction after the 2024 “Reimagined” edition replaced it with a leather build. Cement Grey, Fire Red, and White complete the legendary colour blocking, delivering a look much closer to the 1989 original. The white outline on the edges of each panel add another detail that’s true to the classic.

Just as importantly, Nike Air branding returns on the heel, accompanied by Nike branding on the outsole. Combined with the nubuck upper, these OG details should make the 2026 release especially appealing to longtime Jordan collectors.

With the Air Jordan 4 still commanding serious attention, the “Bred” is another must-have for sneakerheads old and new. Dropping on November 28th, expect this to be one of the biggest Air Jordan releases of the 2026 holiday season.
