NIGO’s latest Nike Air Force 1 collaboration brings another voice into his World Tour series. This time, BTS member j-hope joins the Human Made founder on a pair that turns the familiar low-top into something glossy, colourful and personal. The NIGO x j-hope Air Force 1 ’01 “Burnt Sunrise” draws on the sleeker look of the 2001 AF that NIGO and Nike have revived for the series, giving its bright finish a vintage shape to work with. Whether you’re an avid sneakerhead or a K-Pop fan, this pair is definitely going down in history as one of the modern AF1 grails.

Burnt Sunrise and Metallic Gold leather cover the upper, creating a warm orange-and-gold surface with a high shine. Chlorine Blue accents cut through those colours, while patterned laces add detail across the front. The squirrel graphics on the heel and sockliner are a reference to j-hope’s playful visual identity. Together, these touches make the shoe feel connected to both collaborators: NIGO’s interest in earlier streetwear eras provides the foundation, and j-hope’s colour and graphics bring the energy.

The materials also change how this Air Force 1 reads from a distance. Its shine catches the eye before the smaller artwork does, and the blue breaks up what could otherwise be an uninterrupted stretch of warm metallic colour. This is a bold take on a shoe often prized for its simplicity. For someone deciding whether to pursue it, the glossy finish is the main question: it gives the pair its character, but makes it less understated than an everyday white AF1.

There is a wider story behind it, too. Nike describes the shoe as part of NIGO’s continuing Air Force 1 World Tour, delving deeper into his streetwear and cultural influences. Here, the meeting of his Tokyo streetwear history and j-hope’s global music presence gives the collaboration a clear reason to exist beyond a shared name on the box.

The NIGO x j-hope Air Force 1 ’01 “Burnt Sunrise” has an exclusive launch on 17 October 2026 on Human Made’s website, followed by a global release on 22 October through SNKRS and select retailers. The official colourway is “Burnt Sunrise and Metallic Gold” with the code IO8766-800. UK listings report conflicting prices of £130 and £139.99, so the UK retail price remains unconfirmed; Nike has not yet specified which UK stores will carry it at the moment.
