Once again, Union Los Angeles has found a way to change the Nike Dunk Low without losing its familiar shape. After the trio from the “Passport Pack” featured tear-away uppers, Union’s latest project updates the classic Dunk with a foldable heel, allowing you to wear the shoe like a mule. Much like Jordan Brand’s Decon models, this is the defining feature of the upcoming Union x Nike Dunk Low “Bamboo” colourway.

The low profile, laces and layered Dunk upper are still there. This time, suede covers the shoe in a muted Bamboo shade and continues over the midsole, giving the side view an unusually continuous finish. A light cream outsole breaks up the colour underneath, while University Gold stitching zigzags around the tongue and lace area.

Union’s branding is present in small touches, leaving the material and foldable heel to do most of the work. The result looks less like a standard basketball shoe in new colours and more like a Dunk adapted for casual, slip-on wear. How well the heel works in either position remains something to judge once pairs are in hand.

Union’s last Dunk Low collaboration, the 2022 “Passport Pack,” drew on the shop’s history of seeking out hard-to-find sneakers. Its “Argon” pair used ripstop fabric and exposed stitching to give the model a deliberately unfinished look. “Bamboo” keeps Union’s interest in changing the Dunk’s construction, but takes it in a quieter direction.
The Union x Nike Dunk Low “Bamboo” is listed under style code IF7380-200, with a reported Holiday 2026 release. UK pricing and availability have not yet been confirmed.
