It’s not every day we get a New Balance 991v2 collaboration. But when we do, it’s always an absolute banger. The best detail on the Atalanta BC x New Balance 991v2 is the pop of blue that contrasts the dominant neutral palette. It catches your eye on the silver-edged ‘N’ logos, then turns up again in the heel’s cushioning windows. Set against pale yellow suede and black mesh, it gives the shoe a recognisable football-club palette while letting the 991v2 chunky build carry the design.
The collaboration’s clearest nod to Atalanta is tucked inside, where the Bergamo club’s crest appears on both insoles.

New Balance has supplied Atalanta’s kits since the 2025/26 season, so the crossover has a connection beyond the badge. The shoe’s warm yellow, black and blue also echo the club’s 2026/27 third shirt. On the NB991v2, those colours take on a different balance. Black mesh makes up much of the background, pale suede frames the toe and heel, and blue is used sparingly enough to draw the eye.

Rough suede gives the toe and heel a softer outline against the exposed mesh. Grey panels edged in white stitching break up the forefoot, while the sole moves from white at the front to cream at the heel. That shift picks up the warmth of the suede and ties the sole into the rest of the shoe.

Atalanta, New Balance and select retailers are expected to carry the pair in unisex sizing. UK availability remains unconfirmed. The pair is expected in late 2026.
