The Nike Dunk Low LX “Be The One” Has the Golden Touch

While the hype around Dunks is no longer what it once was, Nike has not slowed down in bringing new styles into the fold. The Nike Dunk Low LX “Be The One” takes a more considered approach to metallic sneakers than simply covering everything in shine. Its brightest gold finish is concentrated on the Swoosh, while glossy tan overlays and an off-white leather base soften the overall effect. The shoe reads as a warm neutral Dunk first, with a flash of gold catching attention across the side.

First previewed during Nike’s wave of Olympic-themed footwear in 2024, this women’s edition lends itself to a gold-medal interpretation. It also moves away from the blue-heavy “Be The One” pairs discussed alongside it. Here, the colour story feels more unified, with the warm overlays carrying through to the outsole and the metallic branding supplying the strongest contrast. The familiar panel arrangement remains easy to read beneath those different finishes.

The small details give the theme its personality. A gold-tone metal button on the tongue carries the “Be The 1” message, turning an area normally occupied by a fabric label into a focal point. Embroidered wording appears on the toe, finished with vintage-style branding on the heel and insoles. These touches reward a closer look without competing with the large Swoosh.

The leather upper combines a pale foundation with glossy tan overlays, a metallic gold Swoosh and embroidered accents. A white midsole creates a clean break above the tan rubber outsole. The perforated toe and padded low collar retain the Dunk’s recognisable proportions, allowing the surface finishes and decorative details to lead the design.

The Nike Dunk Low LX “Be The One” is expected to drop in AW26 via Nike GB and select UK retailers.
