If you ask any sneakerhead what the most iconic Air Max shoe of the ’90s was, there’s a huge chance that they’d bring up the Nike Air Max 95 OG Neon. While nothing in life is perfect, this colourway comes pretty close to it. In fact, many even believe that no trainer collection is fully complete without the Neon.

The Neon is a total celebration of all things Nike. Originally released in 1995, hence the “95” in the name, they were designed by Sergio Lozano and were actually inspired by human anatomy. That’s why you’ll find so many unique layers and materials throughout the silhouette.
Featuring a premium leather construction that fades from white to grey, the Neon is also decked out in suede. Underfoot, you’ll find a chunky Air midsole that has been totally blacked out. Light green accents make their way across the upper, while a complementary Swoosh is finely stitched around the heel.
Even after all this time, this shoe is still extremely hyped. While we’ve seen plenty of restocks since it initially launched, they continue to sell out within seconds of dropping.
The Neon is part of the American sportswear company’s lauded Air Max line, so you can pretty much guarantee that these are as comfortable as they get. As mentioned already, the midsoles are infused with Nike’s critically-acclaimed Air tech. These Air chambers are filled with pressurised gas, causing the shoes to feel slightly bouncy with every step.
As well as that, these bubbles also help to absorb shock, which occurs whenever the foot makes contact with the ground. This means that runners can move faster and for much longer, without their legs or feet becoming strained.
With all that said, when you first slip on a pair of Neon, you might notice that they initially feel a little bit stiff. This is nothing to worry about, as the leather and suede materials just need to be broken in. This usually takes two or three days.
One of the things that help to make these trainers so comfortable is how well they fit the feet of the wearer. The shoes are true to size, so you can easily go for your exact size, confident in the knowledge that they will fit you just right.

You can also cop on other websites like eBay, Depop, or Vinted. These will offer second hand and pre-owned options which will be considerably cheaper.
