Even though the A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 5 “Black” has been on our radar since last year, we’ve never actually seen it up close and personal – well, until now that is. Made in collaboration with James Whitner and his world-renowned streetwear boutique, make sure you read on to find out everything that we know so far.
Marking AMM’s first take on Michael Jordan’s fifth signature shoe, it’s painted in a stealthy “Black” colour scheme and accented with “Burgundy Crush” throughout, just like their other Jordan Brand collabs. Dressed from heel to toe in suede, mesh panelling features across the laterals and medials for added ventilation. The toggle switch lacing system offers a rugged aesthetic, while the oversized tongue is covered in a 3M finish so you can flex even in low light conditions.
Shifting your focus underfoot, the Nike Air midsole has been completely blacked out, while fighter jet-inspired detailing arrives across the sides. “A Ma Maniére” branding is then printed across the bubble, and all of this comes packed in a very special shoebox that’s made for all the sneaker collectors out there.
According to our sources, the A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 5 “Black” FD1330-001 will release on November 22nd alongside a “Photon Dust” version. Expected to be extremely limited, make sure you keep it locked at Captain Creps and follow us on Twitter for your best chance to cop. Let us know if you’ll be adding these to your Holiday rotation, and while you’re here, you might as well get up close with the Air Jordan 3 “Fear”!
