The Nike Kobe 4 is one of the first Kobe sneakers to get the Protro treatment, releasing in various colourways including the legendary UNDEFEATED collab. Over the years, basketball fans have praised it for its lightweight build, as the low-top shoe brings more speed for athletes of all positions.
Following the news that Nike will be relaunching Kobe’s line, we’re now getting reports of another colourway that’s making its way back to the market. The Nike Kobe 4 Protro “Philly” originally came out in 2009 as a nod the Black Mamba’s hometown of Philadelphia.
Featuring a patriotic red, white, and blue colour palette, it’s crafted from star-spangled leather and outlined with Flywire detailing throughout. A Swoosh glides across the lateral and medial sidewalls, while KB8’s signature is scrawled across the heel. The “Philly” is then finished off with red speckled laces, just like the OG from ’09.
According to our sources, Nike Kobe 4 Protro “Philly” FQ3545-400 will re-release sometime in Spring 2024. Let us know, and while you’re here, you might as well get up close with the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Reverse Grinch”!
