The Nike Air Max Plus “Reflective 2024” Was Made to Turn Heads

In case you’ve been living under a big old rock over the past 12 months, you’d know that this year marks the 25th anniversary of the legendary Air Max Plus. One of the most iconic sneakers ever made, it was originally designed by Sean McDowell all the way back in 1998. To celebrate this truly massive milestone, Nike has revealed a bunch of special collaborations and limited editions – including the brand new Nike Air Max Plus “Reflective 2024.”

From a distance, this Air Max Plus looks like just any Air Max Plus. However, as soon as you take a closer look, you’ll begin to spot some pretty big differences that you won’t find anywhere else. Firstly, the upper is now one seamless design. The usual mesh base and TPU overlays have now been fused into one single “Platinum Tint” nylon overlay that looks simple yet striking at the same time. Secondly, the palm tree-esque caging system has also been replaced with stitching that offers up a sartorial look and feel.

As if that wasn’t already enough, the Air bubbles that are usually found along the midsole are blocked out, resulting in an avant-garde aesthetic. But the biggest change of them all has got to be the fact that the entire top half of the Air Max Plus is covered in a 3M reflective finish that’s sure to turn heads, even in low-light conditions.

The Nike Air Max Plus “Reflective 2024” is a bold reimagining of a classic, perfectly blending the the classic Tuned Air silhouette with contemporary design elements. A release date has yet to be revealed, so for your best chance to cop, make sure you keep it locked at Captain Creps!
