Nike‘s “Chinese New Year” collection is growing spicer and spicier by the second, and after checking out the Air Jordan 1 Low edition just last week, we’re now taking our first look at the upcoming Jordan Spizike Low “Chinese New Year.” Blending traditional Chinese elements with a cool colour combination, make sure you keep reading to find out everything that we know so far.
Even though the Spizike Low isn’t as talked-about in the sneakerverse, it’s still an Air Jordan silhouette that deserves a spot in your collection. First introduced back in 2006, it paid homage to the special relationship between Michael Jordan and critically-acclaimed film director, producer, screenwriter, and actor Spike Lee.
For this rendition, the leather upper is painted in a crisp “Sail” hue, while “Dark Team Red” accents fire up the tongue, interior lining, and caging system.
A pull tab features around the heel for added convenience, and down below, the midsole is infused with Air technology for unbeatable comfort and cushioning with every step.
The “Chinese New Year” is then finished off with “Oil Green” mudguards that are decorated with a reptile skin-like texture, nodding to the Year of the Dragon. All of this is then packed in a special edition shoebox complete with exclusive accessories.
The Jordan Spizike Low “Chinese New Year” is expected to drop on January 24th. If you want a pair in your collection later this month, make sure you keep it locked at Captain Creps for your best chance to secure your pair!
