Long live Virgil. The Nike Blazer Low x Off-White “White / Red” marks Virgil Abloh’s first release with Nike since his untimely passing in November 2021. His legacy will remain forever with his unique design creations.

The Nike Blazer again arrives in collaboration with Off-White. This time utilizing the low-top version to bring out Virgil Abloh’s signature details. Check out this pair in a Blazer Low “White / University Red” construction.

It’s been a few years since we’ve last seen the Nike Blazer don the Off-White branding. But the wait is over. 2022 brings two Nike Blazer Low x Off-White sneakers. The first Nike Blazer x Off-White sneaker arrived in 2017 when Nike and Off-White’s debuted “The Ten” Collection. It featured deconstructed looks and vintage uppers to pay homage to classic Nike models.

Transitioning from the court to the urban landscapes, the Nike Blazer first entered the market as Nike’s premier hoops shoe. There are two renditions of the shoe; Blazer Mid and Blazer Low. The Blazer Mid provides more padding on the mid-cut ankle collar, while the low-cut counterpart gives a less restrictive fit; specifically on the ankle area.

Leather and smooth suede are the usual upper materials. While the sole’s comprised of solid rubber. A herringbone traction pattern on the outsole provides reliable grip.

Off-White showcased Virgil Abloh’s creative genius to the Nike Blazer Mid. A few years later, it’s time for the Low to get the spotlight.

Remixing most of the familiar designs we’ve seen on Off-White Nikes and Air Jordans, this Blazer Low x Off-White “White / University Red “ brings a whole lot more.

The white leather upper comes with circular cut-outs – similar to the Air Jordan 5. There are also extra laces in yellow apart from the regular lacing system. Exposed foam on the tongue, quoted shoelaces, and a signature zip-tie return in typical Off-White fashion. On the medial side, Nike and Off-White branding appear. The University Red Swoosh on the sides complements the heel panel.

The biggest modification can be seen on the heel portion of the sole. A sharp-edged sole houses yellow and blue plastic inserts within a black plastic carrier in the heel. It was a modern addition to the usual rubber sole we’ve gotten used to. A yellowing sole completes the bottom for that vintage effect.

Scheduled for an April 2022 release, expect the Nike Blazer Low x Off-White “White / University Red” to arrive on the Nike website.
