Air Jordan 1 Low SE (GS) "True Blue" DQ2514-140

We covered the Air Jordan 1 Mid “Elephant Print” recently, and it seems there’s another Jordan 3-inspired colourway coming up. This Air Jordan 1 Low (GS) “True Blue” goes for another OG colourway as Jordan transfers iconic themes to another. Those elephant prints look so unique on the Air Jordan 1, and we’re thrilled about it!

Jordan Brand keeps trying different things. This shows how the brand constantly looks for improvements and innovation as new styles arrive. This “True Blue” theme on an Air Jordan 1 gives the kids two iconic sneakers in one shoe. With two Air Jordan 1s rocking J3 icons, it looks like there are more similar motifs coming in the near future.

Before Tinker Hatfield, another legendary footwear designer took the helm for the Nike Jordan line. Peter Moore created the Air Jordan 1, Michael Jordan’s first signature sneaker, and officially released in 1985.

Leather makes up the body of the Air Jordan 1, while nylon comprises the tongue panel. Below, a rubber cupsole hides the Nike Air unit in the heel for cushioning.

The rubber outsole with various traction patterns provides one of the best grips we’ve ever experienced.

Throughout the years, the Air Jordan 1 made use of other upper fabrics; usually incorporating suede and patent leather on some colourways.

This Air Jordan 1 Low (GS) “True Blue” features a White leather construction with a pebbled leather mudguard. Elephant print appears on the eyestays and lower heel section. True Blue suede fabric covers the ankle collar.

The complementing arrangement of White, Grey, Black, and Blue gives it a true “True Blue” vibe (no pun intended). All it’s missing was the Red accents on the Jumpman tongue.

It’s scheduled for a May 2022 release together with the Black Cement 1s on the Nike website. It’s coming out in GS sizing but expect adult sizes sometime soon.
