Eye-catching colours fulfil this attention-grabbing trainer! The Nike Air Huarache is one of the most unique footwear designs from Nike, combining style with function. This Nike Air Huarache “Grey Volt” boasts a similar colour blocking as the 3D Swoosh! The Huarache does not have a Swoosh, but vibrant hints of Volt make up for the lack of Swoosh logos.
Nike is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2022, so the brand brought out all iconic Nike trainers throughout its long history. The Nike Air Huarache is one of the many revolutionary Nike sneakers from the 90s; and this new colourway looks to make a statement.
The Nike Air Huarache arrived in 1991 to solve one big problem among running trainers – the lack of consistent fit. Legendary Nike designer Tinker Hatfield solved this by incorporating a neoprene sleeve; and at the same time, reducing the weight by putting a rubber heel counter. More Huarache setups appeared on other iconic models such as the ACG Air Mowabb and the Air Jordan 7.
The lack of Swoosh did not affect the Huarache as the effective features and comfortable foam midsole became the main highlights. Inside the soft foam midsole is a heel Air unit for even more cushioning.
A waffle outsole with thick flex grooves on the outsole capped off this Tinker masterpiece of a shoe.
This Nike Air Huarache “Grey Volt” features a Grey mesh and leather upper construction. Hints of Baby Blue adorn the nylon strip on the tongue.
Bright pigments of Volt appear on the tongue and the heel counter. Black-coloured details on the tongue, rubber heel piece, and outsole complete the new colourway.
Keep an eye out for its release in May 2022.
