The Nike Mac Attack “Better With Age” Takes a Step Back in Time

The Nike Mac Attack has maintained its relevance since its return last summer, captivating both sneakerheads and collectors alike. Originally released back in 1984 as the signature shoe for tennis icon John McEnroe, the OG “Light Smoke Grey” has become something of a grail. And now, we’re taking a look at more upcoming colourways, including the Nike Mac Attack “Better With Age.”

Unveiled as part of Nike‘s Autumn 2024 line-up, the “Better With Age” edition has been specifically designed to appear vintage. Working on top of a crisp “Sail” mesh base, it’s overlaid by panels and panels of “Coconut Milk” throughout, while “Midnight Navy” leather graces the collar and Swoosh. These have been cracked for an aesthetic that looks like it has been swiped straight from the archives.

A dash of “Team Red” surrounds the ankle as a nod to the American sportswear giant’s original colour palette, and down below, the midsole is dipped in “Pale Vanilla” for a pre-aged vibe. All of this is then lined with a grippy rubber outsole, which is perfect for both on-court and off-court use.

The Nike Mac Attack “Better With Age” pays homage to its rich heritage while staying relevant in today’s trainer landscape. Expected to launch within the coming weeks, let us know what you think of this new colourway, and keep it locked at Captain Creps for your best chance to cop.
