Nike keeps bringing new DIY twists to the iconic brand logo lately, making it look organic and seem handcrafted. First, there was the brushstroke Swoosh on the clean AF1 pair. Now, we get a scribble edition in this Blazer Low Jumbo. The Nike Blazer Low ’77 Jumbo “Scribble Swoosh” turns the shoe into a canvas as the lateral Swoosh appears in vibrant Orange.
The modern version of the 70s classic Nike Blazer goes to art class in this Scribble Swoosh rendition. This “unfinished” and rushed colouring sticks to the deconstructed look of the Jumbo Blazers; perfecting the look of this new silhouette’s Off-White-esque approach.
The Nike Blazer originally came out in 1973 as the brand’s premier basketball shoe along with the Bruin. Due to its sheer popularity, the Blazer transitioned to streetwear and skate cultures. Two primary versions graced the Nike Blazer; the High and the Low. They feature a leather upper, suede reinforcements on the toe, and a vulcanised sole.
The Nike Blazer Low 77 Jumbo is the low-cut version of the new Jumbo model. This trainer goes for extra-large overlays and Swoosh – living up to the jumbo theme. Exposed foam on the tongue takes it back to the good old days.
This Nike Blazer Low ’77 Jumbo “Scribble Swoosh” flaunts a White upper construction; with the exception of Grey suede overlays on the toe and heel. A scribble Swoosh appears in Orange for a “Just Do It Yourself” approach (no pun intended). More Orange hues adorn the Nike labels on the tongue and heel.
The White plus coloured Swoosh design is similar to the recent Air Force 1 Low release which you can find here. This may be an indication of an unannounced pack consisting of iconic Nike trainers.
Stay tuned for this release in early July 2022.
