Jordan Brand has officially introduced the Air Jordan 39 to the world, and it’s, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the most advanced basketball shoes of all-time. Marking Michael Jordan 39th signature silhouette with Nike, it borrows elements from the classic Air Jordan 9 and gives them a contemporary rework.
As with many of his other models, MJ worked extremely closely with Jordan Brand’s design team when coming up with the AJ39. Created with a clear focus on enhancing player agility and speed on the basketball court, it boasts a full-length Nike ZoomX foam midsole, which is a first for Air Jordan, offering an unprecedented 85% energy return. This high-performance cushioning ensures maximum responsiveness and comfort during rapid directional changes and sprints.
The integration of premium materials is evident in its construction, with extremely soft leather and a unique embroidered pattern that adds a touch of sophistication to its athletic functionality. On top of all of this, the Air Jordan 39 boasts a meticulously designed herringbone traction pattern, providing optimal grip and control, critical for high-stakes gameplay.
