Missed out on the “Varsity Red” Uptempos but really want a pair? This new colourway might be your best bet. The Nike Air More Uptempo ’96 “White Red Blue” flexes team USA colours in a clean White base. This shoe is part of a yet unannounced pack including the likes of the Nike Dunk and Nike Air Force 1.
“AIR” stands out once again in this fresh new colourway of the Nike Air More Uptempo. While it’s highly similar to the OG Varsity Red, hints of Blue cover the rest of the Nike branding. Embroidered basketball logos on the heel highlight iconic hoop shoes from the 80s and 90s.
The Nike Air More Uptempo is one of the most popular basketball shoes from the 90s. Released in 1996, this is basically the iconic Scottie Pippen shoe despite him having his own signature line with the Swoosh. Leather makes up the base of this bulky trainer, but what makes the Air More Uptempo really stand out is the “AIR” lettering spelt across the sides.
More Air, and more Swoosh. Swoosh logos appear on the toe, tongue, heel, and rear section of the midsole.
The visible Air Max unit runs full-length for maximum cushioning. Underneath, segmented herringbone traction patterns provide reliable traction for basketball purposes.
This Nike Air More Uptempo ’96 “White Red Blue” features a White leather base with Red outlines along the “AIR” lettering. Blue adorns the Swooshes on the toe, tongue, heel, and outsole. A Red basketball logo underneath the Blue Swoosh appears on the heel panel. It’s still unknown what the pack is called, but so far, the Dunk, AF1, and this model are included.
Stay tuned for this release in July 2022 together with other trainers included in this collective.
