And that’s where the all-new Lapstone & Hammer x ASICS GEL-Kayano 14 “Dip-Dye” comes in. Made in collaboration with the Philadelphia-based boutique, you’ve probably never seen the old school silhouette like this.
Revealed in four distinct colour combinations, the first three in the collection are all inspired by different drinks, including coffee, ube, and matcha. The “Coffee” is painted in deep brown hues, evoking the essence of a robust morning brew. “Matcha” brings a vivid green shade, inspired by the traditional Japanese tea. And the “Ube,” with its unique purple tone, pays homage to the Filipino purple yam, now a trending flavour in lattes and bubble teas across the globe.
There’s also a brilliant blue option, and the overall ASICS range is divided into men’s and women’s pairs. Men’s pairs feature a darker, more intense contrast, while women’s pairs present lighter and brighter shades. It’s also worth noting that each one has been dip-dyed by hand, meaning that no two will look exactly the same.
