The Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 hasn’t really been around since 2020’s legendary Stüssy collaboration. But, as if out of nowhere, Nike has announced that it’s bringing the legendary silhouette back from the dead, and it’s returning with the ultra stealthy Nike Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 “Triple Black.”
Already being nicknamed the “Xenomorph” after the extraterrestrial species from 1979’s Alien, this new iteration works on top of a slick “Black” mesh base and is overlaid by panels and panels of “Anthracite” leather throughout. A glossy Swoosh hits the lateral and medial sidewalls, and you’ll also find a pull tab on the tongue for added convenience.
One of the standout features of this model is the Pebax cage that encases the Zoom Air unit. This design element not only provides a unique, web-like aesthetic, but it also ensures responsive cushioning under the heel, offering comfort and support with every step. The midsole, also in black, complements the rest of the shoe, maintaining the “Triple Black” theme throughout.
