Even though the Air Jordan 3 marked its 35th birthday last year, it looks like the celebrations are set to continue with special drops like the upcoming Air Jordan 3 “Wings.” Made in partnership with Jordan Brand‘s Wings For the Future program, which provides scholarships and resources to help young people achieve their dreams, this special edition was made to inspire.
Working on top of a crisp “White” leather upper, this Air Jordan 3 is decorated with elephant print overlays across the front and back. Floral canvas hits the mudguards, and this theme extends towards the back, where you’ll find a rose graphic that’s placed underneath the translucent Nike Air heel plate.
“Fire Red” accents make their way to the Jumpman, eyelets, and sockliner, and all of this rests on top of an Air-infused midsole that’s lined with pink. The “Wings” is then rounded off with a motivational message that’s inscribed behind the tongues: “Up, rose — I too have thorns,” symbolising resilience and strength.
