New Balance returns with another trendy sneaker. This time, it’s the modern update to the MR2002 trainer from the early 2000s. The New Balance 2002R pays tribute to the brand’s running heritage with this old-school sneaker looking like a dad shoe.
The New Balance 2002R first saw fame thanks to the 2020 collab with sneaker designer Salehe Bembury. It was all steady progress from that point on. This shoe varies in materials, but mesh makes up the base with suede and leather overlays for added durability. N logos appear on the sides, while the 2002r label adorns the rear section on the lateral side.
Foam cushioning systems N-ergy and ABZORB provide comfy and bouncy cushioning.
This New Balance 2002R “Incense” features a Light Bone perforated suede base with more suede reinforcements. Light Brown colours make up the collar of the shoe.
Sky Blue appears on the N logo, tongue, heel, and the plastic clips on the heel midsole.
Hints of Purple also appear for a fresh combination of colours.
