Ever since adidas terminated its partnership with Kanye West in late 2022, the German sportswear company has had an on-again, off-again relationship with the collaboration. It was originally cancelled due to a series of racist and anti-semitic comments that the American rapper made on social media. But this sudden end resulted in a net profit loss of around $63 million. So, in order to soften the blow, the Herzogenaurach-based brand announced that it would be selling the remainder of its Yeezy inventory in 2024. And, by the sounds of it, they’ll be using Yeezy Day 2024 as its last chance to sell off as many pairs as possible.
Said to be one of the biggest Yeezy Days in the past decade, this event will feature an expansive line-up of roughly 60 SKUs, including popular models like the 350v2, 500, 700v2, and of course, the Foam Runner. Originally scheduled to launch between June 3rd and June 14th, conflicting reports suggest that the restock might start as early as May 27th. Despite the uncertainty, one thing is clear: this is the last chance for fans to secure their favourite Yeezy sneakers.
This final restock represents the closing chapter of an iconic collaboration that significantly influenced sneaker culture. It offers fans a unique opportunity to own a piece of history. Let us know if you’ll be adding any of these to your rotation, and as always, be sure to keep it locked at Captain Creps for your best chance to secure your size!
