No question, this is a must-cop pair for Air Max fans. The Nike Air Max 97 “Silver Bullet” (2022) brings the OG colourway back once again after 5 years. This is the highlight of the Nike Air Max 97’s 25th-anniversary event in 2022 as other OG colourways already landed recently. For the old school fans, this shoe will bring back nostalgia to the late 90s when the Air Max 97 first arrived.
The “Silver Bullet” was originally thought to be inspired by the shape of Japanese Bullet Trains, however actually took design elements from Christian Tresser’s love for mountain bikes. But we can’t also deny the fact that the silhouette does share resemblance.
Expected to drop in November 2022, let’s check out the rest of the official photos of this pair.
Living up to its namesake, the shoe features a dominant Silver upper comprised of leather and mesh. The Metallic Silver shade adds a lot of class and gives off premium vibes to the Air Max 97.
Red mini Swooshes on the sides stand out well, highlighting the iconic logo of the Oregon-based sportswear brand. More hints of Red appear on the Swoosh tongue, lining on the heel pull tab, and outsole. Reflective materials on the wavy upper panels return as a signature feature found on most AM97 colourways.
The foam midsole comes in the usual White and houses the full-length visible Air Max unit.
This marks the first time the Nike Air Max 97 “Silver Bullet” re-releases since 2017, during the iconic silhouette’s 20th anniversary. Its celebration this 2022 lives up to its “Silver Anniversary” as the Air Max 97 model turns 25.
The Nike Air Max 97 “Silver Bullet” (2022) is rumoured to release in November 2022. Stay tuned for more official information once we approach the closing months of the year.
Expect this to be a very hyped drop due to the iconic “Silver Bullet” colourway’s immense popularity.
