First Look at the Travis Scott x Nike Shark-A-Don “Sail”

After months and months of leaks and rumours, the Travis Scott x Nike Shark-A-Don “Sail” has finally been revealed in all its glory. One of this year’s most unexpected collaborations, while it may look like an all-new silhouette, there’s actually a lot more to it than meets the eye.

Painted in a crisp “Sail” colourway, the Shark-A-Don is crafted from a mixture of premium leather and suede, while breathable jersey mesh hits the tongue and collar for added ventilation. Like La Flame’s Air Trainer and Jumpman Jack, this model boasts a midfoot strap that offers the ultimate lockdown fit. Other than this feature, the upper has been taken straight from the legendary Nike Shark football cleat that debuted back in the good ol’ ’90s.

But that’s not the only thing that the American rapper has borrowed, as the chunky Air midsole has also been lifted from 1997’s Air Zoom Spiridon. While it doesn’t sound like these two Nike sneakers should go together on paper, in practice, they actually work extremely well.

The iconic Cactus Jack emoji is stitched around the heel, and the rubber outsole has been slightly modified to incorporate “Cactus Corporation” branding. All of this then comes packed in a special edition shoebox that will be as sought-after as the actual trainers themselves.

The Travis Scott x Nike Shark-A-Don “Sail” is set to drop sometime around Autumn 2024, with more colourways expected to be revealed very soon. Let us know what you think of it, and make sure to keep it locked at Captain Creps for your best chance to secure your size!
